In 1960s America, a stoic macho man named Dennis is assigned to spend three summer months alone as a shepherd, under the strange condition: "Trust nothing but the sheep." After a month, a mysterious man appears. He introduces himself as Todd and says he’s in the area for hunting. Though Dennis is wary of him at first, he gradually realizes Todd is a decent man and begins to develop feelings for him. Despite the subtle tension between them, Dennis struggles to make up his mind. Eventually, a coyote kills one of the sheep. Now, Dennis must decide—will he choose suspicion or trust?
