April Taylor Barnes is a singer-songwriter and media professional from the Bristol, VA‑TN region. After marrying in 2014, she adopted the name April Barnes and settled in Bristol, where she resumed her music career following a five-year hiatus, releasing Christian-rock and Americana-inflected material that reflects her Appalachian roots. She also serves as Director of Marketing and morning show co-host at Appalachian Radio Group, where she promotes regional music and cultural programming.
